Matt Laur 2,201 Posted June 9, 2008 This was a "Good boy, we'll just leave this duck right here..." sort of moment, which teaches the dog that despite the difficult water retrieve, he doesn't own the bird. It's duck salad for dinner, of course. Thanks for visiting. Link to comment
timkeller 0 Posted June 9, 2008 I get a comic sense of the duck, still alive, trying to think very, very fast. Good catch (inverse pun suggested), Matt. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted June 12, 2008 I really think it's a brilliant composition. Also that look, familiar as it is to me, is a perfect capture. Still, I think you could improve your edit, especially the blue looks a bit bland to me. Link to comment
Matt Laur 2,201 Posted June 12, 2008 Thanks, Tim and Ton. I've been playing with this image some, and really want it to be all about the hand, the dog's eye, and the duck. I have a bad habit of oversaturating some colors, and was worried that allowing the sky to get bluer might distract from the foreground action. This is one that I'm going to play with more in hardcopy. We'll see how it goes! Link to comment
scot 0 Posted November 7, 2008 That's just brilliant. I wonder if we dog people like it more than, say...cat people.Anyway, the dog's focus on the duck is what makes the shot.-- Scot Steele Link to comment
JDMvW 64,027 Posted June 19, 2013 I do recognize that look. It's like some camera collectors watching a mint Leica M. :) Great. Link to comment
