peter.blum 0 Posted June 6, 2008 Hello Marc, As always, you produce stunningly beautiful landscapes. This one is no exception. Very good colors and contrast. The twilight is well captured with the low sun just behind the little island. Great details in the background. And a nice, colorful sky, to top it off. As well as good composition with the image divided in thirds, flowers, beach/sea and sky. My compliments - can't really find anything to criticize.. And good night. All the best Peter Link to comment

jake_mcguire 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Marc, this is another one of your truly special images. I really can't find anything wrong with it. I do have a question though... This couldn't of been done with a GND alone could it? Did you use any blending methods? If so, how many exposures did you use and for which areas. Thanks so much Marc. Jake Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted June 10, 2008 Jake, that's correct. Grad can only solve part of the exposure problem in situations like this, but I do find using them in addition to a blend is easier than using only blends, for a variety of reasons. I used just one other exposure with the grad filter removed to accomodate the hillside in the upper right. I manually blended that in and from the looks of this web presentation I could still clean up the slightest haloing over there. Link to comment
deleteaccount 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Beatiful composition bathed in gorgeous light! Your comment above mine caught my eye and I instantly joined you on your level of thinking regarding exposure blending and ND grads, this is something that I have been putting into practise of late and find that this method gives superb results especially in this situation. Simply gorgeous work! Link to comment
