I wonder how people will feel about this shot... particularly the

background. Thank you for any comments you care to make.

What I find striking is the combination of red and blue. Very nice.

Very nice colours and composition. Perhaps the flower could be a little more strongly lit to make it pop a bit, but I'm nitpicking. The background is nice; the horizontal placement of the grain make a nice backdrop.
