mark_q 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Our Maestro on the road again... This may be a small crop of a noisy original, but who cares as the result is a classic. Terrific combination that black skirt and glossy red shoe, obviously. I also appreciate how those sloping edges of kerb(curb)stones are pointing towards her ankle and that the hemline is not covering the last red stripe. Giuseppe, you propably left that light spot on top left corner for a reason? I can see it as kinda guiding light; "this way, Madam", being one apex to a triangle along which my own eyes wander. giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted May 27, 2008 thank you for your appreciation. With this shot I entered the photographic realm of hazard. Yes, the original is larger and noisy, but I liked the colors and the good composition possibilities offered by the various lines, so I decided to experiment with framing and composition, in particular using triangles. As Markku pointed out the spot on the right upper side was left on purpose, as the grating portion on the lower side. The main idea was to (re)construct an ideal path for the viewers eye. The only regret is that I could have framed (and shot) better this photo from the very first moment I spotted the scene. It happens, and your thoughts and comments are really welcome and inspiring. Thank you, Giuseppe Link to comment
