fischerphotos 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Would like to know what yall think. I took this with a canon 500mm lens 5 ft. away from the bird. I got lucky. Link to comment
iambaxter 0 Posted June 2, 2008 I like the nice tight crop (look at my photos to see what I mean) and the out of focus elements in the foreground. But the background twig on the right is distracting and if you cropped it out it would also put the bird off center. Link to comment
stembaughphotography 0 Posted June 2, 2008 I like the way the out of focus twig provides a frame for the bird. I agree would be better if the bird was not in the center of the frame. I think some detail is lost in the shadow on his head too. Link to comment
fischerphotos 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Well he kind of had to be in the center. I took this picture with a 600mm lens at like 5 feet way. this photo is not cropped at ALL. Link to comment
judyroush 0 Posted July 3, 2008 I found all the above comments interesting for my own future reference, but I enjoyed the focus on the little bird with his wonderful, humorous, defensive "hair-raising" stance. You got the details wonderfully set against a non-invasive background, and I really like his interesting support in the foreground. It works for me! Link to comment
