Just beautiful! I tried a little of this last night at a local B&B. Tough to get the great ones like this! Superb!

Harmony, indeed. Harmony of light and dark, serious and happy, beauty and womanhood. Another of your wonderful portraits. You really do know how to gather the light in all the right places.

You might as well move on to another genre. You've got this close up portrait thing mastered, this picture being more evidence of it.

for the superb capture of this musician, from a talented professional photographer. It reminds me somehow the B&W days of the thirties in Germany, where high contrast, sharpness and gray tones had already become the prime target for lens enthusiasts who admired the resolution and quality of lenses from Carl Zeiss and Leitz Wetzlar.

There's a wonderful translucence to the texture of the skin.....and that captivating gaze upwards...... Great stuff!

The long list of comments already tell on this brilliant work. Fine composition of her profile looking up, her eyes the soul to this image. Well done again, Joseph.

it's indeed a very fine portrait. I don't know if you had this in mind when you took and framed it like this but it in many ways resembles the posters of the Russian communist party in the 1920's (Rodschenko I think)

I thought I had commented on it , Joseph, but as found out had not ( perhaps I had been taken away by your image's strength and impeccable capture). So I do it now and rate it as one of your best. Warm regards and warmer compliments.Chris(it will be rated later as soon as the system permits it)

A soft and gentle portrait of what appears to be a soft and gentle women. The angle, the crop, the expression, it all works to convey a joyful and slightly mischievous mood.
