pnital 36 Posted May 11, 2008 Spanish dancing Flamenco, is part of the culture as is the toreadors, different kind of movements though....Expression of face go's hand in hand with the movement style. Thanks for your impression. Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted May 11, 2008 Nice painting with light. Tones are superb and she has the typical expression of a Flamenco's dancer. It looks like I can hear the sound of her heels taping the floor... Regards. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted May 11, 2008 As impressive as your earlier posting. Compliments and regards, El Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Pnina, the focus makes tihs image - she is intense, he is mysterious. This gives a nice contrast to their characters. I also like the b&w which increases the effect. Link to comment

mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 14, 2008 I love the light and the B&W is great! I just saw my daughter in a play today and the lighting was so difficult to take pictures because it was a high school. I thought of you and how the lighting is always so wonderful where you take your pictures. :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 14, 2008 All of you! Micki, nice to see you again, light is difficult where I photo dance as well, it needed a lot of trial and error till I have found the technic that works best. Try a high ISO ( 800-1000) ,under exposed - 1 and even -2, try to find places on the scene where the light is not on its highest strenght. try till you will find the right set up of your camera, I work mostly with my 70-200 mm lens, not too close to the stage.I work with Raw files. It is my technic, but you can try another set up. Dimitris, nice to read you here again, welcome. Link to comment
teresa.zafon 0 Posted May 14, 2008 I love how you composed this image and the expression you captured, I can feel the passion of this dance... The light is great too and B&W works perfect. Very nice. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted May 14, 2008 I never thought about that. When I post the pictures on the website I will upload I will let you know about them and give you the link. I did answer your question to the sharpness on my photo. I hate the compression here so I did something stupid. (shamefully). :) Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted May 14, 2008 Their powerful expressions & motion are the element that caught viewers' attention. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted May 14, 2008 ... like a hook to her shoulder, the angle and curve accentuate the motion. I envy your ability to shoot dance, Pnina ... actually let me restate that - I admire your ability to shoot dance. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 15, 2008 The implied motion and emotion is expertly captured by your eye. Nice! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 15, 2008 Teresa , Cherlyn and Joe,expression is an important part of the Spanish dance. Micki, you are right about compression that sometimes create, undesirable results. Dennis, thanks, I admire as well your work with the Romanesque cathedrals , each with his own way of expression....;-)) Link to comment
