10 o'clock in the night at a street-side in Calcutta, a green-grocer

who could not sell his stuff and a rickshaw-puller who haven't earned

enough to buy food for the night wait in vain looking at every

passer-by as a prospective client, expectantly.

Thank you Antoni. Ananda, thanks for your encouragement. Yes, all of us here have surely seen photographs technically much much better. This scene did appeal to me and I decided to post it. It feels nice to know that some of you liked it.

Although I like the yellow light and overall composition a lot, I think the storyline is what makes this shot important. A wonderful, slightly sad journalistic piece.

the way they are both looking at the same direction is almost like a hint of a story; also the halogen light always gives a mysterious effect...very interesting shot.
