pedja 1 Posted August 26, 2002 Are there any distracting elements in this photo? Is the composition OK? Would you crop it some other way? Link to comment
j._scott_schrader 0 Posted August 26, 2002 That sky had the potential to be really dramatic! Too bad the original wasn't shot in B&W with a 25A filter. Compositionally it works. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted August 26, 2002 Yes, this is all about SKY! I agree with previous commenter on trying to "push" the thing there. I don't know which method have you used to B&W'ed, but the chanel mixer is the best option. If this shot were mine, I would try to dodge and burn or simply increase contrast on the clouds. pedja 1 Posted August 27, 2002 Thanks for your comments. Yes, I tried to burn the skies in Photoshop but the result wasn't satisfying. The reason is that I wanted to make the carriages the central point and the sky only to serve as background. With darker sky my eye was traveling up and down not knowing where to rest. madro 0 Posted August 28, 2002 A lot of sky but almost no detail in it. I think the photo fails technically. A filter would help. Link to comment
bees knees 0 Posted August 28, 2002 I really like this one, Predrag. Maybe fooling with the Levels or some dodging and burning would help but the subject and composition are very appealing to me. Link to comment
peten 0 Posted August 30, 2002 I love the composition on this one,I particularly like the fact the line of the hills follow the contours of the carriages. If the small carriage had been at the other end the balance would have been all wrong. Link to comment
