eleanne_grey 0 Posted April 28, 2008 Original capture & post-processing - made it in "oldish" style to highlight the rain.. Enjoy the rain :) Link to comment

mike werkhoven 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Hay Eleanne, interesting formal landscaping. Like your photo "Blossem loner", both landscape looks very much like the Dutch landscape where I live in. If you would have said this in the Netherlands I would never have doubt that, funny. Your choise of subject and seeing the easthetics of it are very nice, but maybe a little over saturated. That looks nice but in content maybe a little too sweet. But hé, you are an eastern girl a lot of temperament, much more than we Duchies, so maybe I am missing your point of expression ;~))) Yours, Mike Link to comment
eleanne_grey 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Thank you again Mike for such your comment! I appreciate such honest and critical points of view - it makes us, photographers, develop :) When I took this shot, the weather was at the same time gray and very bright in several places.. Mostly the sunrays laid on the raindrops and were just a bit reflected on grass - quite a weird natural happening)) So, it was a bit hard to capture the real shadows and lights at the same time - I almost managed, but it turned out a bit grayish (except for the sky).. and I've remembered this scene like I interpreted it here - a magical still moment, drawn by the nature, drawn by the rain and sunlights - that's why I varied the colors a bit and added such small adjustment so it looked a bit like a painting - cause it really was a painted scene... Me personally, I can look at this photo for hours and be lost in the rain... it's really a "natural unnatural" scene - so I tried to make it look like it really seemed... :) Kindly, Eleanne Link to comment
