cycler48 8 Posted April 18, 2008 The composition is good, but facial color seems dull. The brightness on top of her head is a little distracting, but it certainly doesn't ruin the photo. I took the liberty of doing some quick adjustments ... see if you like the result. You're on the right track. Oh yeah ... and you have a beautiful model. Link to comment
markevans 0 Posted April 18, 2008 I like the cheeks with more color but the nose not so much - looks like she has a cold. Thank you for the comments and taking the time to offer help. I'll be sure to check out your gallery. Link to comment
kevin cassar 0 Posted April 19, 2008 I would suggest that next time you use the flash to fill in the face. Some people have the wrong impression that flash is only used at night, while the little experience I have has taught me that flash is even more important in strong sunlight. In this case the backlighting is awesome but the fill lighting is missing, and since the main subject is the very pretty girl, it's a missed opportunity. Finally a direct flash would also have added a catchlight in the subject's eyes while lighting them up for a much more interesting shot. Just my humble opinion. Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted April 19, 2008 Beautiful portrait...great expression and nice halo in her hair from the backlight. I think you could use a little more fill on her face...just a touch, otherwise a nice effort. Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted April 21, 2008 Attracted me to have a look and liked it larger. There is a mystery in the face. I compared it to Mark Allen's modification; that too was good, but had a different thing to say. The mystery was lost in Allen's pic and a vibrance came. Very interesting. In the original picture, The face seems a bit too dark, in comparison to the highlighted background hair, yet it adds to the mood. Thanks. Link to comment
