mark_jordan3 0 Posted April 20, 2008 I like what you are attempting to capture here, but the image is held back in a few key areas. The first being the horizon...granted it could in reality be sloped, but the light poles off in the distance are clearly slanted. I would suggest rotating and cropping the image. Second, the lighting contrast is too great and has blown out all of the sky detail to save the shadows...shooting at a different time of day would improve the situation greatly. Third, I see a lot of purple fringing in the high contrast separations of the tree branches and sky...there are a number of software solutions to remove this, but again, shooting at a different time of day would likely eliminate the problem entirely. That aside, there's a nice "S" curve to the flowing water to move my eye through the composition, textures and shimmering reflections. Best wishes, Mark Link to comment
