Thanks. I agree that the flag would stay especially if it were unfurled and blowing in the wind. I just did another addition that I'll post and you can let me know what you think.

David, I really love this, right down to what I see as a bit of lens distortion. When I pull the large JPEG onto my computer, it opens in every program very oversaturated and it almost looks like with was "cross processed" as you would when you process print film as a slide. It makes it even more surreal and lonely, like a lovely, nauseating time warp. Experiment with it a million ways (if you haven't already) and enjoy this piece of gold you made. Cheers, Jay

Tonight I've been printing some stuff on my Epson 3800. Nice big prints (that are costing me a fortune). I've about got this as good as I can. It is one that really lends itself to experimentation. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a thought. Take care.

Shame on you for altering reality! LOL Good work actually. I made a few prints last night with the flag and pole out of the pic, and I think they are better than this one. I think your concept works very well. If only the flag were out full in the wind.

I like this shot for what it is...a well composed photo with great lines, shadows and colors. The flag is OK and for me just adds to the serenity of the quiet day you have presented here.

Regards,

Dick

I was pretty impressed with the fact that it is a point and shoot and hand held. I've printed it at 13 X 19, and it holds its sharpness pretty well, although it does show some serious noise, especially in the sky.

David, you made me travel all the way to Vietnam, and then search for the trash bags:-) I can not imagine any more appropriate caption for this original image.Truth is stranger than fiction. Larry has enjoyed life:-)

Indeed, it has been discovered, and re-discovered many a time, but truth is stranger than fiction. I hope you enjoyed your explorations.

WOW, This is awesome and I am of course, very late in finding it, and all of the good adjectives have been used!

You know what? I think that it would be fun to make a compilation photobook of many PN photographers. THIS image could well be the cover of such a book.

Jesus C, where the hell have you been? Haven't seen you over this way for six months. Well, I'm not complaining, since you got here eventually. There's way more better stuff on Pnet than this one. But I appreciate the praise. Come back again before the year turns into o nine.
