alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted April 18, 2008 Hi Kristin - I can so relate to the fidgeting part of photo taking. And then they all complain when enough photos weren't shot! Your photo has the promise of a wonderful composition but in honesty, I don't think that it fully delivers. I'm no expert but I have learned a few things on PN that I can share: There's a "rule of thirds" that dictates where in the frame the eye will be directed depending on the placement of your subject. Your subject is almost dead center. The eye goes there and stops there. You might try a vertical crop that would put the main cluster in the upper right third (if you have the resolution). The lighting may be just a wee bit flat. If you know how to post process, you might select the lightest cream color and lighten it. There are a million ways to selectively lighten a photo. On the bright side, the DOF is excellent as is the clarity. I'd be happy if I shot this one. I'd also post process - because I can ;) Cheers ~ Link to comment
