bosshogg 4 Posted April 7, 2008 Being a charter member in the Curmudgeon Amalgamated Club of America (CACA- but not in Spanish, please), I'm not big on sunset and sunrise pictures. I will say that this one is unusually well done and far better than most of them I see on Pnet, or anywhere else. Good take on this one. I tried to give it a 7/6, but Pnet says no can do. So to prevent mate rates, we get fake rate. Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 7, 2008 A praise of a CACA charter member means a lot to me - so thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear curmudgeon. The fake rate is equally appreciated, of course. Warm regards, Barb :) Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 10, 2008 I guess I'm just having another senior moment... This image looked so familiar that I had to search your entire portfolio to see why I was thinking that I had seen the image before. I'm now guessing that I got that feeling because of my seeing a similar shot by another photographer. In any case I enjoyed my cruise through your whole portfolio(and again was shocked by the nudity in it). But mostly I wanted to tell you that I think this is one of the best images you've posted in a long time! Maybe you are spending more creative time with photography since the real estate market has tanked in Florida? Congratulations. Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 10, 2008 Shawn, wow, what a compliment and the best rating from you ever. You must have had a sentimental moment, but anyway - thank you so much, my pal. I did post a similar, yet very different image in mood and execution some time ago. It's in my 'landscape' folder. B :) Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted April 11, 2008 I saw the one you are speaking of and I remembered it as soon as I saw it during my cruise. As I was typing this comment I seemed to recall that is was "Susan Wolfe" who had posted the similar image I was thinking of. I found three images in her portfolio of an orange sunset through the tall grass and here is a link to the best of them: "Tall grass". I do like the wavy grasses that look like flags in your image. Again, it is very nice! Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted April 11, 2008 Shawn, thanks for pointing me to Susan Wolfe's portfolio. Had not been familiar with her and I really loved her work. B ;) Link to comment
