rmkiernan 0 Posted April 1, 2008 i found this storm cloud along the highway. how could i make this a better picture? does it have potential? Link to comment
antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted April 1, 2008 This is a beautiful capture, it looks like an atomic explosion. I turned it to grayscale, played with the levels a bit, converted it back to RGB and added a slight yellow-brownish tone. See if you like it, regards. Link to comment
keithostertag 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Rebecca- nice photo! Interesting cloud formation, good composition, and seems like the right exposure. On my monitor is seems to lack sharpness in the foreground- did you use a tripod? I admit that I like Antonio's tweaked version better, but that is the kind of experience you will gain as you go along... keep shooting! Regards, Keith. Link to comment
Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted April 1, 2008 Here is what I would do with the enormous potential of such a photo. crop in close to emphasize the white part don't make it totally centred, off kilter and different angles and points of view make a good shot like this really jump out darken it do get rid of the road line. This is just my perspective, but since you asked... Leonard. Link to comment
frogpondstudio 0 Posted April 2, 2008 I like your version of this. It looks the most natural IMO. I would crop it though so that it is not right in the middle. Good job. cher. Link to comment
cycler48 8 Posted April 30, 2008 I'm glad I stopped by and saw this photo. You were definitely in the right place at the right time and composed it nicely. A little tweaking in an editing program would add a little punch ... such as what Antonio posted. Sometimes that's just a personal preference and this looks very nice as is. Good work!
