kirk d 0 Posted March 28, 2008 Looks like she is blinded by the light and about to walk straight into the train of religion and her poor offspring is following in her footsteps. Extremely creative interpretation of the song title. Not sure if my interpretation matches your intent. Excellent graphics. Kirk Link to comment

jimmcnitt 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Hi Paula: Perhaps the little girl represents innocence and is drawn toward what, to her, appears to be a wonderous and celestial light. But even at her young age, she's on a path than involves difficult footing. For the more mature woman, the sense of childhood wonder has faded -- as has she -- and the once miraculous has revealed itself to be rather mundane. What's more, it's all a long, hard journey, as symbolized by the train with its implications of ponderous transition from one place to another. Well, there you have my attempt to make sense of the imagery within the context of the title. Not a bad song, either. But REMs"Automatic for the People" gets my vote as one of the best four or five albums of all time -- every song just seems to get better than the rest. All my best, --jim Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Thank you so very much for your kind words. Jim, I love when an image of mine is watched and read through. Your reading is very close; my intention, though even more dramatic, is to provoke ideas, opions, so thanks again. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted April 2, 2008 Paula, I always enjoy viewing your offerings &, at least with this one, searching for the intended (or personal) meaning. I've nothing more profound to say than has already been said above except: You do fine work. Best, LM. Link to comment
