ericsev 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Taughannock Falls is in upstate NY at the end of a gentle 3/4 mile hike/walk. This snowy Friday afternoon in late December I had the park to myself! Link to comment
laurentbaig 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Beautiful tones. Maybe a touch more local contrast work to make the whites pop just a bit more. Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted March 24, 2008 I am not sure I agree with this above comment. The highest values occur in the falls, and this is appropriate as it is the primary element; however, some dodging of select areas of icy rock might be worth trying. This is really a stunning location! Do you find the color version too cluttered or distracting? Link to comment
ericsev 0 Posted March 24, 2008 Thank you both! The color version is pretty drab and I definitely struggled a bit with the pp to get the right mix of contrast and brightness. I did some selective highlighting on the waterfall and need to continue to work on the rest of the rest image. The light only hits this waterfall for an hour or two each day and on this day it was snowing and almost completely overcast. Link to comment
