jason51664876150 0 Posted August 17, 2002 My intent is a purely graphic one, but I wonder if the reality of the leaves interfere with this? Link to comment
heidrun_zywietz 0 Posted August 17, 2002 fine color study and play...I'll doing it with direct scans then reworking it...but I would have preferred some sharper close up, or better composed picture...looks so accidental...another one or two autumn leaf macros from you, please! Your colors are so fine! Link to comment
steven_linford 0 Posted August 17, 2002 I disagree; I think the composition balances the need for control of the space with the necessary vagaries of the natural subject; sycamore leaves into rectangular frames do not go! I love this; been staring into it for ages; multilayered and gorgeous colours! I'm jealous! Link to comment

gus_j_grubba 0 Posted September 6, 2002 The image looks a bit too flat for Velvia. It is possible this is a scanning problem. Look at the histogram and see if you see a gap (no values) at the edges. If thats the case, you can rescan it or try to fix it in Photoshop (expanding the histogram to fill in the gap). The image is also a bit soft. This could be a lens issue or scanning as well. And finally, the depth of field is a bit shallow as well. What aperture did you use? Overall I like the accidental look of it (what else could it be?) as well as the composition. Link to comment
