teresa.zafon 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Nice one Janis... and funny expression. I like the colors very much too. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Thanks Teresa! We finally got the tooth out...and no door was involved! J Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted March 18, 2008 I am much too old to remember what this event in life was like, but I do know that we never had a string or door knob involved in the process. Your model is quite lovely and she appears to be talented too. I'm pleased to hear that everything came out okay. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Crazy, but what strikes me is the pink bird on her shirt. It somehow ties all the colors together. Glad the tooth is out! The expression is priceless. Well done, Janis. So, how much is the Tooth Fairy coughing up these days? Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted March 18, 2008 It was an ordeal to say the least...she was very nervous about all of it. She is not posing here, she is trying to get in position for me to take a picture so she can see the tooth underneath. I'm really not into posing, unless it's the boring family shots!! We had talked to her about the string and the door right before this....out of the question. That tooth got her $2! Long way from .25 cents! Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted March 18, 2008 Considering that "penny candy" is a thing of the past and the 5 cent Snicker bar now costs closer to 80 cents I think 2 bucks sounds reasonable. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Her Dad felt it was a perfect amount! She was thrilled. Link to comment
juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted March 18, 2008 Good thing you did not do the door knob thing...I think you would have spent more than 2 bucks...replacing the door knob! The intensity of this child looks as if she eats door knobs...hehehe... Besides being a cute image...I think you have done a swell job on the cropping...I like the color and the feel of this one...It has that ole time film feeling...I bet on cloudy days you can look into those blue eyes and feel the sunshine...nice one girl! janisok 0 Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks everyone! Juan, when I see those blue eyes coming "I" light up!! J Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 26, 2008 This is still performed... Actually this is a fun photograph and those eyes are beautiful. I never had a tooth successfully removed with this technique but I had a great time watching it performed on my brother whom it never worked on either. This photo is great and taken before it became too gruesome. Well have a good Spring and hope ya'll didn't flood too bad. Oh yea, and hope the tooth extraction went well. ~Sky Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted March 26, 2008 Thank you Sky! I pulled it out with my own fingers....no doors were harmed! Saw the first hummingbird yesterday! Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Glad it wasn't too tramatic an event. Spring, Spring, Spring! There's no stopping nice weather now. I am already going to have to get the mower going. The rain helped a lot here; didn't flood too much. Glad your hummingbirds have returned. I heard there's a State park where they swarm like bees. I'll have to check that out. I want at least one prize hummingbird photo this year. Take care and have a good week. ~Sky Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted March 30, 2008 We have already mowed twice, and with gas prices that's like taking a road trip! It's pouring right now and I can hear the grass growing!! I would be interested in this hummingbird swarm place. Enjoy the new season! Good luck to you and Tammy both on the contest. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Sounds like a nice day to sleep and snack or vise versa. Two mowings already, dang... You join right in on this hummingbird competition. The key word is "friendly" and you are more than welcome and I believe Tammy will feel the same. The more the merrier. I don't know what the rules are except to take pictures of hummingbirds and try to improve your previous efforts. As for those hummingbirds swarms, they are supposed to be at Possum Kingdom State Park. I hope to try and go there to see for myself. I'll let you know what I discover if I get to. Diesel is @ $4 per gallon so I may have to go on a horseback journey. ~Sky Link to comment
