Thank you very much.

I wanted to take this opportunity to post the original version before the color changes and cloning out of certain branches. I'm a firm believer in post-processing if it can help "save" an otherwise bad or at least ordinary photo. So here goes . . .

Cheers ~

I don't think I ever saw this one before but it's terrific, especially the colors. They're as pure as a child's imagination.

Thanks much.

I did disclose that I used a color filter on this one - NIK Software Color Efex 3.0. Initially I signed up for a free trial and then made the purchase when I saw all that it can do. I use the Graduated Neutral Density filter often to correct lighting problems and experiment with others occasionally, like the Bi-Color used here.

The end result does have a childlike magic to it - so much livelier than the original which was shot on a rainy and overcast day.

If you have time and feel inclined, click the link to the original - posted as an attachment on this page on March 20, 2008.

Cheers from rainy Florida (over 4" so far this month!)

Congratulations on your new equipment. What a fantastic title and composition you got in here.

First, the trio forms a very engaging triangle catching your eyes right away. Back when I was working at a bookstore I was taught that arranging books on a table in an ascending order like a pyramid will more likely draw customers to it and that was so true. The colors and details are beautifully captured. I like how the green foreground contrasts nicely against the transitioning blue background. Finally, the different characters that compose the trio is charming. It appears that this "church" has a very diverse flock and is all encompassing. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to analyze this shot - it's one of my personal favorites.

It's quite a departure from your dreamy, understated color palate (which I find so very artistic).

Cheers ~
