dankapsner 0 Posted March 15, 2008 The color has a strange reddish-brown cast that makes the eyes unnaturally red and a bit scary, and it draws attention to itself without seeming to add to the image. The composition is intriguing and works; it seems to suggest an ambivalence and wish to escape from the frame. The tight crop at the top is dramatic and gives the photograph a sense of immediacy. Good, direct eye contact with the viewer. Overall an interesting photograph that bears further work. I suggest considering a more conventional approach to the color, or converting to black and white Link to comment
svet1a 0 Posted March 15, 2008 I think that the eyes are in that color, because the author wanted them to be so. I like his original attitude to himself. It's brave and different and photography appreciates this manner of acting. Link to comment
