"Beyond"

This is great too Thomas. I'd be really interested to learn more about how you arrived at this photograph. Any chance of some info like you gave for "emerging"?

Believe it or not, this is not a heavily manipulated image. I

photographed this late at night on an abanmdoned bandstand in

downtown Decatur (a msall town that borders Atlanta GA) and when

editing it, I used one texture photo (a macro-shot of of some ivy)

as an overlay...

The lighting (courtesy of an overhead spotlight) remains unaltered

from what the camera captured...

It looks like a painting! And thanks for sharing the process of creating this photo, an amateur with no training whatsoever like me (and I believe many others who visit this website) finds this very useful. Thanks for posting!

exactly why it's so cool to be living in these times. There was a day when discovering something like this required (preconceiving) + hours (or days) exposure to toxic chemicals, asking model to "sit", and maybe a little absinthe.
