dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted March 15, 2008 I usually don't play around with color effects, but I've always been intrigued by people who could adjust their color to look like a '50s/'60s photo. I don't really know how to do this well, but I'm just playing around and trying to learn. Compare this to href="http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6987321">the original color version. What are your thoughts? Which do you like better? How can I improve on my technique? I appreciate your insights. Please visit href="http://www.dmogalleries.com">www.dmogalleries.com. Link to comment
jborowiak 0 Posted March 15, 2008 I thought this was an old photo. Than I saw the original. Nice job on this 50's look. I like this better. Jeff Link to comment

tonmestrom 4 Posted March 15, 2008 Doug, sorry but this one you can't sell to me. The colour shift you applied is way over the top. Also I think you cropped out too much at the bottom. I'll upload an alternative. If you don't like me doing that just let me know and I'll delete it right quick. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted March 15, 2008 Ton, I appreciate your thoughts, as I'm just trying to learn this technique. The cropping at the bottom is how it was composed in the camera. I was focusing on the old sign and didn't want some of the more modern details at street level in the frame. The only cropping I did was a light pole on the right. Link to comment
