Headstone Art

Well, I don't know what category this should be in, but I love how

nature has added artwork on this headstone.

It would fit in Abstract, Flowers, Fine Art, Nature, Still Like or Street. It is a nice, framable composition. Well done!

I'm at a loss for the right adjective, so I'll just say, this is "cool"! I love how the letters of the engraving are transmitted through the growth pattern. I must say - I've taken a lichen to it. ;-) Thanks for sharing.

Lots of contrast, texture, interesting color, and a message as well. David Long wrote something in one of his very morbid poems about stone decaying it brought to my mind's eye a vision of lichen encrusted stone much like you have captured here. Wish I could remember the line in the poem. Oh, well...
