mattconner 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Hugh, Very nice shot. Did you use a polorizer or did you enhance? Amazing colors, I'm just curious how you did it. Link to comment
lostinspace 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Thanks for your comment. Nothing fancy, apart from the moment. No filters, nothing but curves adjustments actually, and a touch of dodging in the foreground. Best regards, Hugh. Link to comment
lostinspace 0 Posted March 7, 2008 How amazing to hear from you again, I always appreciate your opinion. You are so active on this site and with such insightful opinions, I feel like a complete idiot when you come to visit. Thank you for your time and considerations, Hugh. Link to comment
lostinspace 0 Posted March 7, 2008 P.S., Sorry, I just remembered, I had to clone out three or four raindrops that had magically gathered on the most vital parts of the image. No prizes for finding my ham-fisted efforts at hiding them. Link to comment

lostinspace 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Thank you for your comment, I know, it is quite dark but I think it is because it is a transitional image...from silhouette to side-lit. The tree was almost in shadow so the light hitting it from the right was very soft, whereas the silhouette is created by the stronger light hitting the storm cloud behind it. It was one of those moments when the light was so unusual. I think if I lightened it it might loose it's richness. Please feel free to try it, I'm always ready to stand corrected. Link to comment
photographic endeavors 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Very serene photograph make me dream of sitting on the trunk of the tree with fishing pole in hand wasting away the afternoon. Excellent composition and colors. Link to comment
lostinspace 0 Posted March 7, 2008 Hi Tony, thanks for your comment. I'm afraid this is no good for fishing (unless you after minnows), it is an area of marsh outside our house. Because it's winter here the water level rises to produce this lovely, but very shallow pond. Never mind, at least it transported you away into a dreamy world of fishing . Link to comment
