cherlyn 1 Posted March 9, 2008 Sihoulette image at its best. The orange glow & the exit sign + the black door frame really make this lovely. Link to comment

alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted March 9, 2008 Look, Joe. You have to quit posting such fantastic photos. Who has time to read all these comments and how can one post anything intelligent if one doesn't? ;) This is me in your photo. I spent 12 years photographing blues artists in my home town and this is me, by the Exit sign, near a fan because it was always, always too hot in the club. I deeply relate to this image. I agree in principle with Ton Mestrom's comments about saturation and sharpness but agree with you that no changes should be made to this photo. The contribution, if any, would be minimal. This shot is wonderful even if a bit soft or too deep-toned so don't mess with what's not broken. As for the black shadow on the left, I believe that might be a railing on a staircase. In that even, it WOULD be the exit and an important part of the story. Great capture. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted March 12, 2008 The warm color, slightly blurred outline, grain, and shadowed pose all create such atmosphere that I wouldn't change a thing. Don't touch it. I mean it. Just walk away. Van Gogh knew when to stop painting. Eventually, Mozart quit adding notes. And I'm glad Joseph P listens to his own voice. Link to comment

baerbel 0 Posted March 15, 2008 Joe, it took me forever to scroll down to the bottom, and all compliments possible have been made. So I will just add a quick "fabulous" and leave it at that. Warm regards, Barb :) Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 16, 2008 Happy St.Paddy's day - one of the largest Irish parades is taking place downtown Montreal. Very intriguing image. I am immediately drawn to and withdrawn from the black. The sign, darkness, the fan (heat) and the warm color gives me a 'hellish' feeling. It struck an emotional chord - music to my eyes! Well done.
