This was taken in somewhat softer light than my last critique

request, so the contrast is not so extreme. Let me know what you

think...

Have you tried to place the cottage differently within the frame? Maybe, placing it in the top third, avoiding the sky completely and letting more of the foreground into the frame would have improved an already good image.

I actually took several photos of this scene using different compositions and different films. With the IR film, this is the one that I was drawn to (if you haven't already noticed, I'm partial to the portrait orientation ;-). I took one shot with Tech Pan that is very similar to what you've described Predrag, and when I get it out of the darkroom I'll post it.

Compositionally for me is OK. But the weakeast point here is the lack of tonal range, more than the contrast. I don't know too much about shooting with IR, but I've seen better results from this kind of stuff. I wonder if it would have been better w/out the red filter... just curious.

Personally, I would like this better with the cottage at the upper-right intersection of a 2x3 grid, from a slightly lower position with more forground. I would also prefer a fuller tonal range. It is a very nice shot as-is, but I think it could be even better.

If what you had in mind was give it an archaic and classic look, you've done it. The grains contributed nicely to that effect.

I have to agree with previous comments on the composition & tonal range but having said that the atmosphere conveyed is pure magic.
