... I also very much like the diagonal line between the photographer and subject, split by the shadow of the curb. Very well done. It was great to talk to you today ... despite the fact that I ended up ordering MORE movies :)

Thank you all for the great comments. To be honest I did not think that this picture was going to be that engaging, so this comes as a nice surprise.

Dennis - the pleasure was all mine. Well my friend, think of it as an "art investment". ;) Hey, I got a picture for you...just wait.

Very well composed, such a common way to memorize moments in our human life..but the surrounding is interesting, many ditection of lines, diagonal, horizontal and the upright couple. Good light and B/W execution. Very human scene.

You've done a great job turning an otherwise plain scene into an extraordinary shot by how you've managed the light, which accentuates the lines in the composition. The light falls on her, the star of the show, although he holds just as much interest by maintaining all the action.

While the bird is indifferent to this whole scene. Maybe the bird is saying "whatever..." Thanks my friend.

Very well captured. You could not have posed this picture better. ;) The shopping bag and the bird are perfect. Nice B&W eposure too!

I liked this too, Adan. I did think there were a few distractions and although seemingly insignificant, they do draw your eye away from the main subject material.

The bright white spot in the water and in front of the photographer's arm, as well as the upper window and reflection. For me, the posing, the diagonals on which they're standing and the pigeon looking on is the meat and potatoes to this feast.

I forgot to add the bonus of the bird... ;-)) I like the softer original. I do agree about the window, even it is not such a distraction. The white point on the R is easy to elliminate.

Thanks Doug, Douglas and Pnina (once again)for your constructive comments and support.

Adan, the central scene of all four individuals, including the bird, is very good, and the reflections in the the windows are adding some life to the very strict lines of the composition. Personally I would have highlighted what is really interesting in the scene by cropping the frame somewhat especially to the left but also slightly on the right side. As usual, well seen Adan.

Well, opinions are like _______(you fill in the blank). Everyone's got one. I don't have any suggestions that you should change the image, but I do enjoy it and pondering what it tells me. I'm thinking tourist, but not necessarily because people sometimes take pictures just to preserve a moment. Definitely they have been shopping, and they are more than likely dating or have not been married too long. I don't know how this can make sense (and I guess I rarely do make sense), but the bird introduces a more human element. Maybe it's just there to remind us that no matter how rosy things are at any given moment, someone or something can come along and shit on us. :)

All in all, it's just a nice slice of life image.

Thanks for that comment David. I guess it could be taken as "enjoy the moment while you can because you don't know how long it is going to last". The bird sure looks like a spoiler.

Another thing I like about this image is how dismal the background looks. Probably what attracted Meyer.
