jcvpictures 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Is your new name!!! I hope you like it!!! I understand you liked coffee? by the way is this beautiful model yourself? best regards, jc Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 26, 2008 That's cute. How did you come up with the name, JC?. Ok, it's all about "coffee, tea, or ...me." Just kidding. Both coffee and tea have caffeine, and that's my addiction. It's interesting that quite a few viewers have asked if the model is me. I am flattered of so many compliments but i think the answer is irrelevant because it's about the photo that one enjoys looking at. Of course, i am not Kate Moss, and i am also not doing any commercial work where the model becomes or associated with a brandname ;o). Therefore, i am taking my Fifth (according to American Law, taking a Fifth is having the right to remain silence :o)). Ah! You still have to explain how you came up with Tanita?!!!. Thanks for swing by, Juan. Link to comment
jcvpictures 0 Posted February 26, 2008 Lets start with your new name!!! Tanita must be pronounced like Taneetah, you see, is sort of different. Tanita is like your name but with more tenderness;)I hope you don?t mind. Now about the picture and your Fifth, I will tell you that it is not fair, we should be able to see you and tell you what we believe about your self portraits, I know, is very personal, but I don?t think you would disappoint any one, including myself, besides, is not the human body that counts but the souls in it. A big hug my friend, jc Link to comment
jürgen1664882420 0 Posted February 27, 2008 I like the shot, but it would be nicer if the whole women would be visible (the missing knee) and therefore a little bit less curtain at the top.The woman doesn't look very awake, but thats perfectly fine for the title (I probably would look much more sleepy;-). joe_gallagher 0 Posted February 28, 2008 I like the way you have lighted the drapes, the bedhead, and the model. The model is serene and beautiful (you or otherwise). She appears relaxed and thoughtful from the tea and is alone with her thoughts of last night and the comming day. Very imaginative. I think it is one of your best. Thanks Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Juan for your continued support. I am still taking a Fifth on it :O) Jurgen for leaving comments. Just want to share with you my philosophy in my photography, so that my cropping will not bother you that much, hopefully. Every image i've made, the focus is on the mood, the expressions of emotions. The feel of the whole photo is more important to me than the cropping or form of the model (even though these two elements are also parts of the composition, but they don't take precedent.) I refuse to play by any photography rule. If a certain rule works for a photograph, great, i will use it; otherwise,..."what rule?!!!". Hope "the knees" in this photo won't bother you as much any more. Joe! This photo is also one of my favorite :o). Thanks for stopping by. Link to comment

tanyatruong 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Even though our interest in photography is different, i really admire your excellence in this craft. Ultimately, i think we have the same goal, we want to capture the soul, the feel of the subject that we are interested at the time. Best regards, Tanya. Link to comment
beng 0 Posted March 1, 2008 Interesting light and shadow. Your expression could be showing a bit of sadness, quietness or loneliness. The mood of this photograph is for me a bit melancholic. If that is what you wanted to show, then you have succeeded. But, if not, then I might not have interpreted correctly or it is my own feeling at the moment I looked at this picture. Another good work. Link to comment
marcogarrone 0 Posted March 1, 2008 this picture is very natural, there is a general feeling of peacefulness and though the model (no matter who she is) is nude she is expressing a feeling of comfort and ease in nudity, of peace in the body. this point might bring to questions that are far too personal for being written down here, so we'll forget about them or discuss elsewhere. There is nor shame nor pride in this nude, it's simply a nude and, actually, the focus of the picture to me is the white mug. Marco Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Beng! All those feelings overpower me some time... Marco! You are right. "No Pride. No Shame". Just being contented. comfortable in nude. I am a pursuer of Beauties, and showing oneself without pride or shame is a beautiful state of the mind...to me :o). Link to comment
