digital singularity 0 Posted August 11, 2002 Alone at the edge of the world, trapped by man. Link to comment
test11664875106 0 Posted August 11, 2002 I like the photo pretty much. Though two things that, perhaps, might make the look more impressive: 1) the artifiticl barrier somewhat lacks harmony with overall scene, and 2) the person might look more trapped if he'd stay at the left corner, just some 10 steps backwards from his current position. It's just my view, I'm not an expert in art critique. Link to comment
wespettus 0 Posted August 13, 2002 Your subject is a little close to center for my taste. I don't know if you had control over that or not. Maybe you could crop him/her towards an edge more? Link to comment
fj5 0 Posted March 6, 2003 IMHO, the man is too close to the protruding bush. It would have been nicer to have him on the left more. He could also be looking out towards the canyon with his arms on the rail as well... was this candid or was he working with you? Something about those two benches doesn't help the "isolation" feel of the image. I guess you couldn't really do much to prevent that. =) Otherwise, nice shot!!! =) I like the way you filled the frame with more of the earth rather than the sky. Also, I just noticed the mountains on the left side... it might have been nicer to include more of them in the frame. =) Link to comment
digital singularity 0 Posted March 11, 2003 Thanks for the comments everyone. No, my friend wasn't aware that I was taking this shot, otherwise it might have never happened. Since it was a park and I didn't want to get clubbed by some rangers, I had to leave the benches in place. I kind of like the photo the way it is. Getting a different shot of the mountains would have proved difficult as I was standing on a pile of rocks. Thanks though. Link to comment
