I am assuming that by not filling the frame with the cardinal you are trying to depict the isolation and desolation of the little fella. If so, then well done. A cardinal in winter is always an oxymoron as a vibrant colour in a wasteland of ice and snow.

The image could use some sharpening, however, from a technical stand point, due to the falling snow giving the image some movement.
