Beautiful treatment. Please excuse my saying this straightforwardly but...Trompe L' oeil spells with an E as the last letter to Trompe. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for setting me straight on French. No excuse, but I just cut and pasted the word from Jack's comment. It's a great word, but I have no clue how to spell or pronounce it. And don't be bashful about correcting such obvious inadequacies.

David, it's my bad habit as a teacher, you know, correcting mistakes. But I thought maybe you'd like to know anyway! About phonology it would be something like "trump" in English, but with the "u" pronounced as in "comp" and with a silent "m". Cheers!
