tanyatruong 0 Posted February 20, 2008 I do think the eyes tell stories too. After all, they are the windows to the soul :o). Link to comment
eimages 0 Posted February 21, 2008 This is such a powerful image. Your expression, the feel, and the power of your figure all have a magical spell over me. Alex Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 21, 2008 for leaving commnents. Alex, if only i can have gorgegous models like yours, and of course, the eyes of a portrait photographer like you; I think I would have many more interesting photos :O). BTW, the model is my bestfriend in SF that you have not met. We do look a lot alike. Link to comment
jcvpictures 0 Posted February 21, 2008 One of these days you are going to kill me!!! Great image and those sexy eyes are some thing else! jc Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted February 22, 2008 A very artistic.....nude.! beautiful composition.. great use of light and shadow. i love the emotion in her face but i think it gets lost a bit.. my eye want to go directly to her derriere... maybe crop the right side a little??? speaking of which....did you see the eclipse of the moon last night?? tanyatruong 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Juan! I am flattered of your charm but i think there are so many nude models on this website (or most others), my nude session is just a minute in this vast entity of very gorgeous models. To that, when my work get acknowledged, i am happy :O). Kenny! I've just tried to do what you suggested in PS but it doesn't come out as fluidy; perhaps, you can help. In any case, I've just upload the edited version, i darken the lower right more. Ye! The moon was magnificient :O). Link to comment
pirateken 0 Posted February 22, 2008 yeah, i can see what you mean about the fluidity. the body gets too truncated if you crop it.. maybe just darken like you said Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted February 22, 2008 Well, I would not go possibly quite as far as Alec, but I will say that it is hard to remain indifferent. In this particular case, it is not just the photography which is inciting, but the model too. She enamours a kind of delectable sensuality that is extended to the viewer through her offering. Though the photo is very politically correct and in no way shocking, on the contrary, the intimacy of the pose and the accompanying expression make one shudder with embarassement at sharing in the moment .. excellent work Tanya, bravo. tanyatruong 0 Posted February 22, 2008 Hope you didn't get too embarrassed while looking at it :o). Ok! On a serious note. I don't have the intention to make my art to ...shock anyone, so i am glad it's not :O). I love capturing emotional expressions whether that is happiness, sadness, anger or joy. I use nude as my preferred medium because i feel that the expressions are purer. I am not sure how this photo conveys any feeling to anyone, but it makes me feel something with the model. Thanks again everyone for commenting. I thought this photo would go ...unnoticed Link to comment
beng 0 Posted February 23, 2008 Interesting shooting angle, giving different "view" and "viewing angle" to the "viewers" from different perspective ("point") of "views". Amazing slfportrait. Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 24, 2008 That's deep, Beng ;o). I like it. Honestly, i have no idea what kind of impact/feeling this image gives the viewers esp. it does not receive that many comments. I am just trying to convey the feeling of ...Longing, and i thought it's a "good" image to do so. Thanks again for your support of my work :O) Link to comment
marcogarrone 0 Posted February 25, 2008 "What spirit is so empty and blind, that it cannot recognize the fact that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed?" michelangelo. But is this you? Marco Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Thank you for such a beautiful quote. Regarding your question, it does not matter whether the model is me since you've already enjoyed the piece, right? ;o). Thanks for stopping by many times, Marco. Warmly, Tanya. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted March 7, 2008 This is a very interesting pose that has very different erotic emotions in 3 different situations: 1 - the subject is observed by a non-involved photographer (objective) 2 - she is with her lover (intimate) 3 - she is alone, imagining being with her lover (poetic) ... and I think the third is most powerful - and the reality. Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
david_cassidy2 0 Posted November 13, 2008 Tanya, this is very well done. I know exactly how difficult it is to make a strong self-portrait. Congratulations. -David :) Link to comment
