ldavidson 4 Posted February 18, 2008 Another image of wilderness destroyed by fire. It looks so lovely in the snow. Any comments, critiques, ratings are welcome. Thank you. Link to comment
sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted February 18, 2008 Hey Linda, I really like your use of gaussian blur here (at least that what it looks like to me). Its a beautifully tragic scene to be sure. Do you mind if I ask where you took it? Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 18, 2008 Hi Ryan, I have experimented with gaussian blurs for years, I could never get it right until today. This happened by almost by accident. In Photoshop CS2, Filter Gallery, this effect is called "Diffuse Glow", I just tried it. It wasn't what I expected, but I liked the results. This shot was taken behind Chase. This is the big 2002 or 03 fire. This is where I think the Barrier fire met up with the Kelowna fire. We were living in Alberta when this happened, so I am not as familiar with the history as I should be. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it. Link to comment

janusz1 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Beautiful moment of cold serenity... It brings me back to my childhood. It takes an artist to notice, to stop, and to take It :) Link to comment
