ananda_chaudhuri 0 Posted August 9, 2002 I liked the backlight and burned in the background to increase the effect. Critique comments are welcome. Link to comment
j_yabrow1 0 Posted August 9, 2002 The black background and rim lighting are very eye-catching and the composition is wonderful. However, the skin tones are really flat and unattractive. I suspect the subjects are really dark in the original and a CCD scanner may not have been able to get all the tonal info there (this has happened on some of my B&W negs with my ss4000 scanner). You might try getting a professional drum scan, or a professional print made. If there is any way to get better skin tones on this image i think it would be well worth it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 9, 2002 I like Sr. Yabrow's comments...the voice of a Professional. As an amateur,I reacted more viscerally...different perspectives, yet both valid. I like what I see and can't critique what I don't know...just a different place on the learning curve! Warm Regards... Link to comment
ananda_chaudhuri 0 Posted August 10, 2002 I agree with the fact that the skin tones are flat in this scan, that is the best I could get from the scan. I could probably increase contrast locally at several places using photoshop. The actual print that I made is much better though Link to comment
