Great photo! How did you manage to get such great dynamic range and good contrast? Perhaps the sun was below the horizon?

I'd love to know if you combined multiple exposures--I'm kind of new to photography, and I'm finding it very difficult to get good sunset shots with a crisp foreground.

I like this, nice color and composition, have you tried a long exposure of a scene like this ? maybe 30sec or more, give it a try some time.
