ffrank 0 Posted February 14, 2008 You can't go wrong with a subject like this. Nice photo Jeff. I like the soft focus and the hair in her face. Totally oblivious to the camera. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Thanks so much for your kind comments. This is no testament to any skill I have. The kid rarely takes a bad picture. Link to comment
Alx 0 Posted February 16, 2008 Excellent portrait with surprising image structure. Vertical scansion broken by the elements of the girl's face. Ciao, Alx Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted February 16, 2008 ... well, can't say that I blame you. Hope warmer climes are to your liking, Jeff. This is a tender and sympathetic view not only of your daughter, but all children. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted February 16, 2008 Alex: As always, thanks for your analysis, which implies that I have rhyme and reason behind what I'm doing. (I don't). Appreciated!! Dennis: Yes, the pull of my kids is great. There's always that parental double-bind in which I long for adult conversation and then miss them when I'm away. I had such a great time meeting you and PJ and hearing of your photographic excursions. Deb and I are planning a trip to Italy this fall with intentions to visit the churches and museums, camera in hand (and gorge ourselves on wine and cheese, camera safely tucked away during our frenzy). jcpopper 0 Posted February 16, 2008 A wistful and beautiful portrait. One of the qualities I most appreciate in your images of children is that you avoid "cute" and seek those moments that are most expressive of personality. This is a wonderful shot, Jeff, and you've given it a perfect title. Link to comment
