aginbyte 0 Posted February 9, 2008 ... this is so much the spirit of the Dordogne, Henri; the quiet, the peace, and the beauty. There is a reason that primitive man settled here early, and your photograph has captured that. What did Henry Miller call the Dordogne? "The cradle of poets" ... ? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Where in Dordogne is this, Henri? The water is like glass. Truly lovely! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Thank you for your visit Lou Ann. This place is in the "vallee des cinq chateaux" (valley of the five castels) which are The castels of Castelnaud, Marqueyssac, Beynac, des Millandes (which belonged to Josephine Baker), and Fayrac, of which I have already talk to you, which belongs to an American. The dead branch of the river Dordogne you can see here is just underneath to the castel of Fayrac. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 14, 2008 I love the fresh, lush grass, such a lovely shade of green against the black glass stream. This is a calming, restful image. Beautiful. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted March 2, 2008 Wonderful, peaceful scene, well composed. Great light and colors. I would rotate 2 degrees clockwise, look at the growth direction of trees Link to comment
