timkeller 0 Posted February 7, 2008 Ah, so you're no stranger to our neck of the woods! What a challenging shot to tackle. You've done it so well. I love the metal flashings around the window, the wood textures, and the muted earthy colors. Perhaps my favorite details are the two pivoting wooden window locks, long in disuse; they're identical to the latches I built on our chicken-yard gate. The softly focused frame of field and distant trees looks almost like a TV set in the darkened room. Nice. Link to comment

But what really makes the photograph work so well is the DOF that makes the objects in the background look very far away. Congratulations on this! I hope to do as well. michael Link to comment
