Hey Drew, I am guessing fish-eye lens and infrared filter maybe? Wonderful futuristic feel to this. Almost near perfect for me if the feet of the two guys in the centre were more in frame....tiny niggle though on a really interesting and well-executed piece of work :)

Superb photograph. Flow of building; flow of people; flow of sky. Wonderful tones. An easy 7/7 for me.

Natalie - thanks for looking.

You are correct about the fish eye, but the image was not infrared. I captured the image in color processed with a red filter in photoshop and adjusted the contrast a bit. The white buildings and light tan umbrellas definitely give the image that infrared look. I too wish a was able to capture the feet of that one guy. It was an image of opportunity and was gone a split second after I captured it.

Great effect! Haven't seen you around for quite a while...how is your life?

This image certainly is a great example of how to use a fish eye for photographing architectural subjects; a specialty in which many fail but you succeeded. On the other hand, the choice of using a red filter with this building couldn't be more appropriate, it helps a great deal separating the white of the structures and the sky. This is definitely one of the best photographs I've seen of the place, and I've seen plenty. Congratulations on a magnificent picture!
