tonmestrom 4 Posted February 3, 2008 it is and because of that there are a lot of great images around. I have to say tough that this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Good job. Link to comment

aginbyte 0 Posted February 4, 2008 ... this is an interestingly different view, down the plowed fields and with the trees inclining toward the Mont. Wonderful gradations in the black and white sky, even though in the version here there is banding from the compression. The only suggestion I would make on this shot would be to reduce the compression; this shot could easily stand a little increase in the file size. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted February 4, 2008 A well balanced composition and beautiful image - well done! Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Dennis, thank you very much for your thoughtful comment. Thanks also for your suggestion. I've just tried larger size after reading you but I still have the banding. I'll have to work on it again. Thanks again, Dennis. Tony, thanks for taking the time. I'm glad you like it and I appreciate the compliment. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted February 5, 2008 with interesting post treatment. Maybe a bit too much contrasted but very very good anyway. Thank you. G. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted February 5, 2008 Giuseppe, thank you very much for taking the time to leave such kind ratings so many photos. Your thougthful comments are very much appreciated and I'll be glad to pay you a visit as soon as I can. Dennis, thanks again for the tip. I tried what you suggested and posted a larger version. In fact I did the whole process again and found out that the filters I applied on the sky In Nikon Capture caused some banding when opened in PS for final processing. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted April 23, 2008 the leading lines offer an original view on the Mt...wonderful also how the trees balance the image horizontally...a superb and unique PoV which is not so easy to offer on such an overphotographed subject...congrats Laurent.... Link to comment
