Good lord, man, you are on a roll big time. Love the muted colors played against the elegant institutional green. And the man standing there with his back to us is frosting on the cake. Really some of your best work Laurent. I'm blown away.

I concur with David, your work is absolutely enticing, you have a very keen eye and a superb sense of aesthetics; your portfolio is a pleasure to watch.....the only thing I'm not so sure about is the white frame between the photo and black frame.

I really have to agree with David. Recent work is among your best and this is among the best of your recent work. The clear vision of the image is indelible. It really makes me reconsider what I am doing; I just can't compete with this. This is 7/7 in my book and I will so rate it as soon as they let me.

Thank you so much for your very kind words. There was a beautiful sunset on the ocean last Sunday. I tried to keep the colors as natural and close-looking to what I saw as I could. Very little processing here.

Juan Carlos: We've come across one another's work quite recently but you're already among my very favorite shooters, so I take it all to heart. About the frame, I quite share your view but wanted something else for a change. I might return to the white ones soon.

Laurent, it is a perfect compositin ! both technically but especially touching emotionaly.The man looking at the empty space, so small and gray vs. the beauty of the green tower, and BG soft colors. very good crop, strong enterance to the image.

I believe it works better this way, like I said, the frame was the only thing that I didn't quite liked.

Aah yes, wonderful picture evoking strong emotions. A person and the ocean sharing a moment before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.

Juan Carlos: thanks, it was just a try. I'd rather have white frames too. However, black frames enhance color and contrast in a more flattering way and make the image look bigger. No ideal solution I'm afraid.
