kellyphillips 0 Posted January 28, 2008 This is a quick one light setup before my stepdaughter's beauty pageant. She won and gets to represent our region in the KY state pageant. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted January 29, 2008 Dear Kelly, I don't think this is very flattering. The light is much too hard. Looking in your portfolio I've seen that you can do a lot better. So why such a rush? Link to comment
mr. sullen 0 Posted January 29, 2008 I love it. I don't see any hard light here, wide contrast range yes but the light is soft not hard. She is obviously comfortable working with you which is an important aspect. I've got to email ya soon kelly. It seems we are running some paralles in our work, maybe I am wrong. I am just now starting to get into sports and portrait work. I started this thread here so maybe you can help with some advice. kellyphillips 0 Posted January 29, 2008 Hi Shay. Yeah I kind of feel like you about this portrait. I don't see any hard light. I should have lit her eye though. This was an "in between shots", shot. She was laughing at a joke I told and she had her eyes closed in this moment. I like it. I feel like it shows off some of her personality. She turned her head right before this so I couldn't reposition the light to light her eye. I would've lost that moment if I had tried. Link to comment
