mihai suciu 0 Posted January 31, 2008 Not the easiest situation to photograph. Usually, if this were my capture, I would jump to myself saying: Highlights, no details in the shadow areas, no middle tones, etc. But you know what? I love this image! And I don't need details in the shadow areas, because I've got enough of them around the water, the mud(?), and there's the DOF with soft differences, and the superb reflections of clouds in the water... All in all, very well done. It really works for me. Best wishes! Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted February 1, 2008 My reaction was similar to Mihai's. Also it helps to have been there and to be able to visualize the breadth and depth of the beach. Link to comment
portofolioanaluthi 0 Posted February 1, 2008 Hello, thanks for your comments. In fact this photography was taken at dawn, the tide had withdrawn ... the sun was rising just after a rainy night. It should be 5hours of morning. For the rest I do not know, I am not a technician, this picture dates from 1994. This is Omaha Beach, a beach which conveys a very strong emotion.
