Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 21, 2008 When one reaches a certain age, one becomes particularly sensitive to certain images, sounds, tastes and smells, Without warning you find yourself cast adrift from this secure berth in the present and sailing the gentle seas of your memories, tasting once again the salt spray of an earlier time. bosshogg 4 Posted January 21, 2008 Very nice. Sort of reminds me of "A Walk in Pardaise Garden," by Eugene Smith, only with a Japanese flavor and a damn Scotsman overseeing the production. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted January 21, 2008 Jack, I'm always amazed by your composition. Simple and yet unique. Using poster that leads our eye to the subject and the other brings my eye back to your starting point by looking at the photographer himself.Your eye can create miracle to phenomenon full of surprises. adan1 0 Posted January 23, 2008 Your words are just as poetic as your images. A heart warming ad intriguingly captured with your reflection on the left adding a retrospective touch. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted January 23, 2008 Ah, Daily recognise himself in you, Jack :-) This image is so brilliantly composed & subtle in its simplicity beauty. It really holds one's eyes & attention the longer one looks at it. Link to comment

shots worth sharing 1 Posted January 27, 2008 Ok, so this is a poster encouraging children to walk in the middle of the highway--got a problem with that? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 29, 2008 Well, Dave (H) that's one form of population control. Messy, but effective. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 29, 2008 Good picture composition trumps safety consdierations every time. Just look how many photographers risk life and limb hanging onto the steering wheel with one hand while trying to photograph a semi going in the opposite direction (I know I have). Link to comment
