b_turner 0 Posted January 9, 2008 Well, a LOT of work in PS. I don't yet own a graduated ND filter, so I had to correct it in PS. Split the image up (sky and ground) with the selection tool, feathered to get soft boundry with the other half. The individually adjusted the tonal ranges in each channel, then used the channel mixer to recombine. What struck me WAS that puddle of water... Also since the vines are dormant, it also has that 'Grapes of Wrath' sort of feeling. - brent Link to comment
baldurt 0 Posted January 11, 2008 I'm a great fan of high contrast, but I'm having a hard time getting over the tilted horizon. I also think it would work better if you cropped enough of the sky out to eliminate the two dominating black spots in the middle of the sky. Link to comment
b_turner 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Hmmmm. I see what you are saying, what had impressed me though was the sunlight in the cloud structure, something about the sun offering the promise of a renewed growth (along with the water.) Link to comment

chriswymant 0 Posted March 28, 2009 Got to disagree with the previous comment, I think the two dark spots really strengthen the picture, looks to me as though they are head to head and challenging each other! It was the first thing I noticed. Composition is fabulous, well done Link to comment
