j_kluska 0 Posted January 10, 2008 I like the composition, but, the top of the stairs is not in focus. This may be a result of distance and aperture setting. Did you think of going smaller to get more depth of field? Link to comment
ken krueger 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Good job !! Well thought out and executed.... Did you create a mirror image or was this the way it was? Link to comment
mcollier 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Thank you for comments and suggestions, I appreciate it, Ken, this is shot as is, there really are 2 of them. Link to comment
linelight 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Michael, I love the strength of this image, especially it's geometric clarity. It appears to me the question at the top of the stairs is as much a problem with digital noise, either in the original shot (camera sensor capabilities) or in the JPG compression post processing... not that I can claim any real competency or insight into such things... just know enough to occasionally try and justify to my wife the purchase of ever more extravagant equipment! All the best Tony Link to comment
mcollier 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Thank you Tony for the wonderful comments. I hear you on the wife issue, she never seems to pay much attention, but is the first to notice a new lens or filter on the camera. :) The noise is definitely my fault in post processing. I didn't use a polarizing filter this day, and I overcompensated in contrast and saturation. This place is close by, and I will probably re shoot. Link to comment
