Beautiful! There is nothing prettier than this area of the country, especially in winter. The sunsets here are just fantastic. Nicely done image allowing the eye to move about the image. Strongly done!.............Sherle

it has an even better story behind it :

 

I had been driving up to bishop hoping to get some decent shots of the sunset behind Mono lake tufa, but wasn't able to make it on time. I was watching the sunset while driving and it only got better and better, so I decided I had to stop to take some photos with these pretty mountains just happening to be behind it.

 

So I pulled off at the next turn planning to drive around a hill obstructing the direct view to get a better shot. As I drove, I came upon a shanty-town which I decided to avoid for my own safety. So I pulled off and decided to use this old broken down corral as foreground interest.

 

Needless to say I heard people from the shanty-town on radios talking about me being there making me quite worrysome, I did my best to shoot and run the hell outta there!
