The composition and framing looks quite nice but I think a bit more contrast would be a good idea. The stairs lead the look to the little girl and the picture seems to have a story to tell, which is always a good thing...

Nice shot. Without the girl it would still be a pleasing graphic shot but with her it has personality...sort of mysterious and very still.

Staircases are amazing eye catchers... great shot

As someone else noted, this would also be great without the girl, as the flow of the stairs, the railing, and the lower floor create a wonderful combination. Of course, everything aims to the girl, so she does add to the image.

 

Did you crop this? I wonder if more of the lower wall and floor (upper mid portion of your image) would have been available, as that border on the patch of white is integral to the composition.
